Tim began was awarded a scholarship to Wells Cathedral School as a specialist Musician where he studied under Simon de Souza of Chaconne Brass. Tim has played with various National orchestras including the National Children’s Wind Orchestra and the National Youth Orchestra. In his final year at Wells Tim reached the Brass semi finals of the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition.
Tim continued his musical studies at the Royal College of Music where he studied with Simon Rayner-the principle horn of the Royal Opera, Nigel Black-the principle horn of the Philharmonia and Tim Brown the principle horn of the BBC symphony orchestra. Whilst at the Royal College of Music, Tim also studied for a degree in physics at Imperial College London.
As well as performing with a number of prestigious orchestras including the BBC Symphony Orchestra and the London Concertino, Tim has performed as concerto soloist in the Royal Albert Hall, Chichester Cathedral and as a concerto prize winner with the Royal College of Music Symphony Orchestra.
